I have been a PRI therapist since 2011. I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology (University of Amsterdam) and in 1999 I obtained a PhD in the field of Occupational and Organisational Psychology. Additionally, I worked as a consultant for HRM systems and as a social skills and personal effectiveness trainer.
During those years I became a mother of two beautiful daughters. This special experience prompted me to take a new path to become a midwife. After finishing my studies, I worked for seven years as a midwife followed by eight years as a senior lecturer at the academy of Midwifery in Maastricht. Alongside my work I started studying to become a certified PRI therapist in 2008.
Through my work as a psychologist, researcher, midwife, teacher and PRI therapist, I have gained a lot of experience in guiding people with various mental health problems, important life processes and making better use of their talents and potential.
Early childhood traumas often negatively affect our life. I’ve seen (time and again) how powerful PRI therapy can be to heal this, so we can live our lives to our fullest potential.
